What is jtufund?
Jtufund is the web site name for Chiao Tung University Alumni Foundation of America, Inc. (CTUAFA, Inc.). The first three letters represent Jiao Tong University. "Fund" simply states the nature of the organization that it funds educational activities in five Jiao Tong Universities.
Is CTUAFA related to CTUAAA?
Yes. The full name for CTUAAA is Chiao Tung University Alumni Association of America. The full name for CTUAFA is Chiao Tung University Alumni Foundation of America, Inc. Both organizations were set up by Chiao Tung University Alumni. The difference is that CTUAFA, Inc. is a non-profit educational organization while CTUAAA is not. However, the trustee members of CTUAFA are generally sought from officers of CTUAAA.
Are donations to CTUAFA tax deductible?
Yes. You will receive a tax receipt for your donations.
Do CTUAFA accept non-cash donations?
The only non-cash donations accepted are stocks and bonds.
Can I specify which university I want my donations to go to?
The allocation of all donations are in the discretion of the Board of Trustees of CTUAFA, Inc. However, CTUAFA will try its best to satisfy the donor’s wish.

What educational activities do CTUAFA provides funds for?
CTUAFA currently has three funds: General Fund, Individual Fund, and Special Purpose Fund. The General Fund is distributed among five Jiao Tong Unviversities for general education purposes. The Special Purpose Fund includes but not limited to: Shanghai Jiaoda Library, Shanghai Jiaoda English Competition Award, and Shanghai Jiaoda Visiting Scholar Program. The Individual Fund was set up by individual donors with specified destinations.
